The Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team captured the Miami Valley League championship with a dominant performance, finishing with 39 points to claim the title ahead of second-place Piqua, which scored 71 points.

Leading the way for the Red Devils was Everett Muhlenkamp, who claimed first place overall with an outstanding time of 16:06.5. Eli Ramos followed with a third-place finish in 16:21.0, giving Tipp two runners among the top three finishers.

The Red Devils continued to build on their strong start with Seth Shroyer finishing 10th in 17:27.2, Lukas Heitbrink placing 12th in 17:31.9, and Noah Heisey rounding out the team's top five with a 13th-place finish in 17:47.8. Tipp's strong team depth proved to be the difference, as all five scoring runners finished among the top 13 competitors.

The championship performance was also a reflection of the hard work and improvement shown throughout the entire roster. Fourteen Red Devils recorded personal records (PRs) during the race, demonstrating the team's continued progress and commitment to getting better.

Those earning personal records included Max Allen (20:08), Tristan Boyce (20:15), Lukas Heitbrink (17:31), Gabe Hunter (20:32), Cody Johnson (24:17), Logan Kollmeyer (21:20), Isaac Lesher (20:26), Patrick McClurg (18:28), Eli Ramos (16:21), Isaiah Ramos (22:10), Henry Ranly (20:45), Oliver Ranly (18:09), Logan Roach (19:17), and Brighton Sears (20:16).

Coach Lieber was impressed with the performance today.

"I couldn't be prouder of this group of boys and what they accomplished. Our front group ran an outstanding race and put us in a position to win, but what made this championship so special was the performance of the entire team. Having 14 different athletes earn personal records shows just how much progress this group has made, and it speaks to the work each boy has put in throughout the season. One of the things that stood out to me most was how many of the boys talked about running for each other and wanting to do their part for the team. That kind of selflessness and commitment to one another is what makes a championship team. This race was the culmination of five months of hard work, dedication, and trust in the process. We knew Piqua, Butler, and Troy would bring tough competition, and our boys rose to the challenge. Winning an MVL championship is a tremendous accomplishment, but I'm just as proud of the way these boys have grown and the way they have come together as a team."
