The Tipp XC varsity boys battled through another wet and rainy Saturday morning, but the challenging conditions did little to slow down the Red Devils.

Tipp XC turned in a strong team performance, finishing second out of 20 teams at Saturday’s meet.

Leading the way for the Red Devils was senior Everett Muhlenkamp, who turned in an outstanding performance to capture the individual championship. Muhlenkamp won the race with a time of 16:55, giving Tipp XC the top runner in the field.

Eli Ramos followed with a strong sixth-place finish, while freshman Seth Shroyer continued his impressive season by placing 18th. Lukas Heitbrink crossed the line in 27th, followed by Noah Heisey in 36th and Luke Ranly in 40th.

Rounding out the Tipp XC varsity runners were Jaden Long in 45th, Henry Tomb in 53rd, and Logan Roach in 80th.

Despite the rain and wet conditions, the entire varsity team ran extremely well and showed the depth and determination that have become trademarks of this year’s Red Devils squad.

The Tipp XC boys will now turn their attention to the Piqua Night Race, where the JV boys will take the course under the lights.
