The Red Devils traveled to Butler for the first of two games in an MVL showdown. Tipp won an extra innings thriller 5-3 in 9 innings. Ethan Harney charged a 2-out, 2-run double in the 9th to put the Red Devils ahead for good. Tipp trailed 3-0 after an inning but just kept chipping away.
Cayden McKinney threw 7 brilliant innings, and Carson Jackson got the win, in relief, pitching two shutout innings. Tippecanoe is now 17-5 overall and 13-3 in the MVL. Tipp will host the Aviators in game two on Friday at Wright State's Nischwitz Stadium in the Skyline Chili Reds High School Showcase presented by PNC at 7:30 PM.
