The Tippecanoe Athletic Department would like to recognize Liam Dunkle as the athlete of the week. Liam is a sophomore on the varsity swim team.
Coach Bathgate shares that Liam is a second-year member of the Boys Varsity Swim Team. He is a two-time individual district participant in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. At sectionals this past weekend, Liam finished first in the 100 butterfly and second in the 200 freestyle, just behind his teammate. He was also a member of the first-place 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams, which contributed to the team’s second-place overall finish. Liam demonstrates strong dedication, is highly coachable, and understands where he can improve after each race. He works hard at practice and during the offseason, and he supports his teammates in their development as well. Fantastic job Liam and keep up the great work!
