The Tippecanoe Athletic Department would like to recognize Avery Anderson as the athlete of the week. Avery is a senior on the varsity swim team.
Coach Bathgate shares Avery Anderson is a four-year varsity swimmer and this year’s team captain. She has been a consistent frontrunner in distance swimming throughout her time with Tipp Swimming and is a three-time MVL Champion in both the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle. As a freshman, she finished runner-up in the 500 Freestyle, placing just behind her teammate, and did not compete in the 200 Freestyle that season. Avery is an exceptional teammate and natural leader who consistently supports and encourages underclassmen. She is highly dedicated and has set ambitious goals as she enters the postseason.
