The Tippecanoe Athletic Department would like to recognize Adelyn Deppen as the athlete of the week. Adelyn is a junior on the varsity swim team.
Coach Bathgate shares that Adelyn began swimming competitively as a freshman and has grown into one of the top distance swimmers in the Miami Valley League. She specializes in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, and this season alone she has made massive time improvements—dropping over 23 seconds in the 200 freestyle and 34 seconds in the 500 freestyle. Adelyn also steps outside her comfort zone by challenging herself to swim other events, always bringing a positive attitude and great effort. She sets her goals by working hard in practice and staying focused on the end result. Adelyn is a great teammate, extremely coachable, and we are excited to see her success at the MVL Championships and into the postseason. Keep up the great work!
