Tipp Swimming opened its season with the Bellbrook Sprint Invitational
on Saturday, November 29. 200 athletes competed in this invitational
and the eight Tipp swimmers had a very strong showing. Tipp women
placed fifth and Tipp men placed eighth overall. Scoring points for
the women were Captain Avery Anderson who won both of her individual
events, the 50 fly and 50 breast. Junior Adelyn Deppen placed eighth
in the 100 IM. The Medley Relay of Avery Anderson, Izzy Poffenberger,
Jocelyn Shelton and Adelyn Deppen placed sixth and the Free Relay of
Adelyn Deppen, Jocelyn Shelton, Linneyah Channel and Avery Anderson
placed seventh. Men point scorers were Sophmore Ridley Brenner placing
third in 50 fly and fifth in 50 free. Sophomore Julius Galbert placed
8th in the 100 IM. Freshman Layton McMurry represented the team by
competing in the 50 free and 50 back. Congratulations Red Devils!
