The Tippecanoe Athletic Department would like to recognize James Merry as the male athlete of the week. James is a junior on the varsity football team. Coach Burgbacher shared that James played the best game of his career, for the Red Devils, this past Friday in a championship victory over Troy. Due to an injury, James' role increased in our biggest game and he delivered. James led the Red Devils in tackles with 10, had 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 2 quarterback pressures, and was in on a tackle inside the 20 yard line on our opening kickoff. James' sack came on 4th down as Troy was down inside our 5 yard line attempting to score in the 4th quarter. Huge play in the game to preserve the shutout of our county rivals. Great job James, let's keep it rolling!!!
