With the varsity squad off this weekend, the Tipp boys JV cross country team stepped up to race at the Treaty City Invitational in Greenville. The Red Devils were led by Elias Stienecker, who placed 22nd overall with a strong time of 17:57. He was followed closely by Nathan Kollmeyer, who finished 29th in 18:16.
As a team, Tipp placed 10th out of 18 teams in a competitive field. Among the highlights was a spirited finish between David Beeson and Logan Roach, with Roach edging out his teammate in the final strides of the race. The squad showed solid depth and determination throughout the lineup, making the most of their chance to compete.
Next week brings a big test for the Red Devils as the varsity squad heads to the Mason Invitational to face some of the state’s top programs, while the JV team will compete under the lights at the always-exciting Piqua Night Race. Both groups will be looking to build on the momentum from this weekend.
