We had a great start to the season at Centerville’s Saturday Night Lights meet last night.
For the girls, in the Varsity Black race, freshman Delainey Stout led the way with an impressive 2nd-place finish in 20:36. She was followed by Sydney LaBreck (16th), Mary Waibel (20th), Lauren Anderson (47th), and Jordan Boose, who ran a PR of 23:21 for 50th, to help the girls finish 4th overall. Additional PRs came from Aubrey Ernst (24:45), Kait Hartke (26:12), Audrey Jackson (24:24), and Ela Van Oss (26:12).
For the boys, we were led by Landon Kimmel, who won the Championship race in an outstanding 15:11. He was followed by Everett Muhlenkamp (13th), Luke Schwieterman (34th), Eli Ramos (44th), and a strong effort from Ben Pierson to round out our top five, helping the boys finish third overall—behind only a top Kentucky team and Division I powerhouse Beavercreek. Other PRs included Noah Heisey (18:15) and Lukas Heitbrink (18:45).
It was an exciting first race for the Running Red Devils, and a strong foundation for the season ahead.
